Welcome to a new year of music, learning, growth, and excellence in the Freeport Area Band Program!
I am honored to serve as the Director of Bands for Grades 6–12. Our program provides students with a wide range of opportunities to develop their musical skills, build confidence, and become responsible, dedicated members of our school community.
At the high school level, our program includes the 9/10 Band, 11/12 Band, Jazz Bands, Marching Band, Pit Orchestra, and the Freeport Area Yellow Jacket Marching Band. Throughout the year, our students share their talents through concerts, athletic events, jazz performances, musical productions, community events, and other special performances.
The success of our program is built on more than musical ability. We believe that participation in band helps students develop important skills such as teamwork, responsibility, perseverance, leadership, and pride in their accomplishments. Every rehearsal and performance provides an opportunity for students to challenge themselves, support one another, and grow both as musicians and as individuals.
We take great pride in representing Freeport Area School District and our community. Our students are expected to uphold high standards of musicianship, professionalism, character, and citizenship wherever they perform. Every student is an important part of our band family, and every contribution matters.
I look forward to another outstanding year filled with memorable performances, meaningful experiences, and opportunities for our students to grow and succeed.
